Backup object is selected but not attempted for a reformatted host machine on Data Protector Express

I have recently formatted a host machine ,which has been added in the backup domain, from Windows 2003 to 2008.

I have also installed Data Protecter Express on the formatted machine so that it can be backup by the existing backup job.

When i check the backup log, it indicates that the some objects is selected for that machine but completed 0% and not attempted 100%. There is no much information that can tell me why is this happening.
