Backups on different server with HP Data Protector Express Single Server Edition

Greetings!

i have a doubt about this product.
what happens if i have a server attached with a Ultrium 448 SCSI External Tape Drive and HP Data Protector Express Single Server Edition and this server gets damaged, can i put the HBA on another server with the tape drive and same hp DP and get a full backup?
