Best procedure to create a seperate Filesystem for /usr/openv

Best procedure to create a seperate Filesystem for /usr/openv.

bdf /usr/openv
Filesystem kbytes used avail %used Mounted on
/dev/vg00/lvol7 1040384 857982 171476 83% /usr

currently it is mounted in vg00 i need to create another lvol in any another vg where i have free space and i need to mount it there.

pls include what service i need to stop/start..before and after the activity.

It seems that this is an HP-UX host, but you don't specify the version.

¿Do you have another vg with free space? ¿Do you have a new LUN presented to the host to create one? ¿Do you need a procedure to create vgs, lvs and file systems? ¿Do you need a procedure to copy the data?

¿What openview services are you running on this host?
