can not backup more than 250GB on HP Storageworks 1/8 autoloader 920 G2 LTO3
Dear supporter,
My autoloader, HP Storageworks 1/8 autoloader 920 G2 LTO3 can not backup more than 250GB for each tape even in Symantec Backup Exec 12 I configured to compress backup data. After backup, the compression is always 1:1. And the tape is 400GB with native but the data I can backup is only 250GB for max per tape. Could you please help me.

You should only use Hardware compression not any software compression.
Test Autoloader using LTT
www.hp.com/support/tapetools
do Assesment test and compression test.

Thank you very much for your reply, but in this case, the capacity is 400GB (C7973A) in no compression. But I can backup only 250GB of data? I don't known are there any problem?

This could happen if you use both hardware and software compresion at the same time or due to a broken drive, try a LTO drive assesment test using LTT.
