Cannot created recovery disks on TX2500

Pavillion TX2500 Tablet PC, Vista Home Premium.

Recovery Manager Disc Creation program cannot create recovery disks because it cannot detect the DVD R/W drive. Drive is accessible through every other program.

On a different model I could write the recovery disks as ISO images.
These can be more safely burned then directly. Usually only one image can be created, if that fails halfway through you've got no image and must order the CD/DVD at cost.
Do you have this ISO option ?
