cleaning tape didn't eject

Good Day.


I have difficulties right now because yesterday when i try to clean up our tape drive, the cleaning tape stocks on the drive and i can't eject it. i shutdown already the server and switch it ON, but no changes.still, the tape didnt eject.

What tape drive is this? Have you tried holding eject botton? Power cycle?

I find that removing the drive and plugging just the power connector in will help you eject the tape. in fact I keep an old power supply in the backup room just for this purpose.

I tried also to hold the eject button in 10 secs. and even 30 secs. but still, the tape didn't eject...is there a possible way to eject the tape w/out pulling out the tape drive to the machine??

by the way the tape drive is HP DLT VS 160 external tape drive . thanks
