Cleaning tape - Veritas or MSL6000 reserve slot

Which is the preferred method for the cleaning tape?

Either to designate the reserve slot from the MSL display panel and do not setup a cleaning slot and job in Veritas?

Or, use Veritas settings for the slot designation and job, leaving the MSL reserve slot alone?

What happens if both are used, will there be conflicts?

Also, is it required to have a bar code on the cleaning tape for either setting?

LTO and SDLT is designed not to be cleaned.

These drives should be cleaned only, if requested by the drive.

So no autamatic cleaning, But if you really want it automated.
Set it up to be on request only.
