Configure SAN switch for tape library

Is there a certain SAN switch configuration setting required when using a tape library.

I have a HP MSL2024 connected to a HP AA978A (Silkworm 3850). The WWID for the library never show up.

I replaced the AA978A with a Compaq 1gb fiber switch and I was able to reach the libary using VMS.

I don't see your switch in compatibility matrix (http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/storageworks/ebs/pdf/EBSMatrix-0610.pdf). It may be not supported for this library.
