Copy D2D tape to LTO-3 tapedrive after backup
Hi
Basicly, I want my weekly backup to stay on the box, and also have it on physical media too.
I can't seem to figure out how to set up Backup Exec to copy the weekly backup to the physical tape after the backup has ended.
If I make an export job, it is removed from the D2D alltogether. I can't schedule an import, because this could have solved it.
If I make a copy job on the D2D, I can only do it from the slots, and I don't know which slot my weekly backups will end up in.

Re: Copy D2D tape to LTO-3 tapedrive after backup
Hi,
The backup software is not able to see the tape drive that is attached to D2D system.
The only way is doing a copy from one slot of D2D to physical tape drive manually from D2D's web interface.
So, most likely, you need to figure out in wich slot your weekly backup is.

Chun is right you can also change the media size as the tape cartridges used by the D2D physical Tape drive. Then Schedule a Daily append job on DPE to either 4 or 1 tape.
