D2D 2504i G1 (EJ002A) + StorageWorks LTO-4 Ultrium 1840 (EH854A)
Hello Everybody,
this is my first post on this forum.
First of all sorry for my English.
I need some help :-)
We have a StorageWorks D2D 2504i G1 (EJ002A) used by Symantec Backup Exec 2012 for the backup jobs.
Can i attach a StorageWorks LTO-4 Ultrium 1840 SCSI external tape drive (EH854A) for extras backup jobs, such as a monthly full backup?
Anyone use a configuration like this?
Is there any known problem with this configuration?
Thanks to all

Thanks for reply.
So the physical tape it's not visible by Symantec Backup Exec but it can be managed only through the D2D.
Can I manually duplicate a virtual tape on a physical one?
Thanks.

The virtual tapes size is 800 GB like an LTO4.
