Hello,
I have a problem with D2D120 + ultrium tape 920. The device came back from service where they replaced motherboard, and now the device won't boot, it stops with error "No operating system found". Service now suggests replacing motherboard again!? As I understand from HP documentation, operating system is not located on hard drives. Is OS located on some kind of flash memory on motherboard or?
Any help or guidance would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Solution
I have to state the obvious, but this should not have happened!
The OS is stored on some flash memory chips on the PCB that also has the status lights you see through the front opaque plastic panel (HD, power, network, etc.).
Check inside to make sure that the usb cables are correctly attached from that PCB (circuit board) to the motherboard USB headers. If they are attached and it's still not working, you need to return it to service, or perhaps we can get a restore disk to you.

Re: D2D120 problem (No OS)
You are correct, one usb cabel was disconnected from the front panel.
I can't thank you enough, you saved me a lot of time!
