DAT Storageworks External USB 72 powering on and off !
Hi,
I just bought this tape drive and installed it, using the latest drivers. When powering it up, it starts, but after 30 sec, the 3 LEDs start to blink fast, and the device turns off. A minute later, it turns on again, and so on and so on...
The drive is unusable, and it doesn't stay on long enough to perform a firmware upgrade...
If I try to power it on and off using the power switch, all the LEDs remain off, and I have to wait for a minute, then it turns back on, then off again,...
Can anyone help pls?

Re: DAT Storageworks External USB 72 powering on and off !
Pierre,
I would like to suggest u to download HP StorageWorks Library and Tape Tools at
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?pnameOID=406731&locale=en_US&taskId=135&prodSeriesId=406729&prodTypeId=12169
You downloaded and install, u can run various of test to check, verify and confirm your drive status.
Cheers
