DAT72 USB Tape Drive, Offline on system reboot.

Does anyone know how to have an HP DAT 72 USB device automatically be found when a PC it is connected to reboots? I find the only way for the device to be recognized is to power the DAT72 Drive on during the system startup routine. It Tape drive is left on or off during a reboot, the devies lists as offline in Sytmantec/Veritas Backup Exec, and no backups are performed.

System is Windows XP Professional, SP2

I seem to have the same problem on a Windows 2003 server HP Proliant ML350 G5. Did you find a way to solve this?

Hi,

I would suggest that updates it software or firmware to the latest.
But in case its happened, u may try unplug n plug back usb cable, power cable of drive.
