Data Proctector Express 4.0 hung on WindowsServer 2008

my problem:
on different operation (for exempl: when i try to start backup to tape or to select files for backup) hp data protector express 4.0 hungs up.
When i show then in "services" the "Data Protector Express" service ist stopped and i must it start manually.

In the Application-Eventlog i find following message:
Faulting application dpwinsdr.exe, version 4.0.39702.0, time stamp 0x4835f385, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 6.0.6001.18000, time stamp 0x4791adec, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x0000000000047960, process id 0x41b4, application start time 0x01

please help - so i can`t use the programm because it happen`s very often...

I am having the same problem. please if someone can assist. after starting Data Protector Express the service stops and i have tried compatabilty modes and firewall and reinstalling repairing. Until 2 days ago it worked. nothing major changed.
