Data Protector Express 3.10 sp2 and Windows 2008

I just upgraded to Windows Server 2008 Standard. Now when I use Data Protector Express, it shows my machine as offline, and in services stays in 'starting' status. Any advice?

3.10 its no compatible with 2008 you would need to install dpe 4.0

I downloaded DPE 4 and installed, but am getting the following message:

Initialization of the database driver has failed, and it could not be loaded. Please contact technical support.

Any suggestions?

did you choose install? or upgrade ?

should have remove dpe 3.1 and then choose install

Yes, that is what I did. I uninstalled the old version and then chose install for the new.

When I look at services it seems to hang up in starting mode.
