Data Protector Express 4.0 SP1 cannot write Disaster Recovery CD-Rom

Error writing disaster recovery CD-Rom (resulting cd-rom is blank) on SLES10 SP2 on ML370-G6 with DVD R/W. Fails while "closing device" - error code is 4080, Illegal Request.

When trying to create backup to DVD+R media, get error 4030 illegal request - and the media is ejected.

DVD drive is HP HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GH40L (1.0.0.0)

HP OBDR Compat Matrix for Proliant servers Oct, 2009 Version 1.0 indicates ML370-G6 and SUSE 10 SP2 is supported.

Novell support document says cdrecord is broke on SLES10 SP2, use growisofs. What does Data Protector use to write to optical media?

Re: Data Protector Express 4.0 SP1 cannot write Disaster Recovery CD-Rom

It seems no one uses this product. Any suggestions for bare-metal recovery software for G6 servers running Linux?

Re: Data Protector Express 4.0 SP1 cannot write Disaster Recovery CD-Rom

By removing USB dongle and ejecting RDX drive, was able to backup to DVD - although when 1st disc is full, DPE posts an error ("insert compatible media") instead of a message that the disk is full, insert another. Same error occurs when backup is complete - get an error to "insert compatible media."
