Data Protector Express dplinsvc listening on 2 network interfaces

Hello,

I want to manage my Data Protector Express (installed on a Linux server) from a windows workstation. The Backupserver has eth0 and eth1 connected to different subnets.
The Windows machine is connected to eth1 subnet.
The server prozess dplinsvc listen only on the first network card eth0, so I canot access the
managment gui from the windows machine with error message (Code 129):

Data Protector Express kann keine Verbindung zur Prim├дrinstanz des Dom├дnenservers herstellen. ├Ьberpr├╝fen Sie, ob Dom├дnenname und IP-Adressenkonfiguration korrekt sind und ob der Dom├дnenserver ausgef├╝hrt wird.

How can get the dplinsvc prozess listen to both networks?

Re: Data Protector Express dplinsvc listening on 2 network interfaces

If you want to use 1 network card then just add the line

binTo=ipaddress

stop the service, go to dpconfig.ini

then add the line like this

lastUser=admin
nodeGuid={00001001-48873788-0005F208-FFED8B55}
nodeName=ALVARJOS01
databaseServerAddress=localhost
isDatabaseServer=Yes
databaseServerName=El Diablo
disableNetwork=No
remoteAdmin=No
bindTo=16.90.105.198

save start service and there you go.

Thank you for quick help, is the bindTo Parameter explained in the manual?
