Data Protector Express Single Server Edition--Any Alternative for OBDR?

Data Protector Express Single Server Edition--Any Alternative for OBDR?

I recently bought a brand new (but VERY old stock) Ultrium 230 100/200gb backup drive for my Proliant ML350 G4p server. I then kicked myself when I discovered that Data Protector Express Single Server Edition was only available with systems shipped after June, 2006.

The faq is pretty explicit that the only way to obtain DPE SSE is via the purchase of appropriate hardware, so is there any low-cost backup software that would give me OBDR functionality? Opinions on this would be very welcome!

Hi John,

You can buy a Data Protector express 4.0 now available with ODBR option and use it.
