Data Protector Express writing to tapes at 300 KB/min slow

Hey everyone!
I am using Data Protector Express 3.5 sp2. When I run a back up job it is writing very slow at 300 kb/min. Is there anything I can do to make it write faster. I remember earlier it used to write at 2 or 3 Mb per minute. Not sure what changed.

In the earlier release of DPX 3.5 SP2 there was a bug when the DPX gui was closed doing backups with compression turned ON.

The latest DPX 3.5 SP2 Build 37634 fixes this issue.
