Disaster Recovery using DP 6.1 recoverying 32 bit cell mgr and 64 bit client

We just attempted a DR using a 32 bit cell mgr server and a 64 bit client server. Windows 2003. We attempted a manual recovery trying to perform a bare metal recovery versus the ones listed in the DR manual. We could not recover the 64 bit client. C drive would not recover. Restores appeared to work fine.
Has anyone out there successfully recovered a 32 or 64 bit server? What process did you use? Have any generic doc besides the manual to look at? Any assistance at this time would be great.
