[DLT 8000] reconizes dlt 4 tapes as 20 gb in DP

Hello,
We have a MSL 5026 tape library. It contains several DLT 4 tapes. In data protector the hardware is detected nicely but the tapes can't be formatted beyond 20 gb. They always turn up as 2 gb tapes. We would like to use the other 20 gb to. What could be the problem?
