DP 06.10 OpenVMS Client gives Ipc subsystem reports: "Bad message format." error

Hi,
I am taking Backup of OpenVMS Client from a Cell Manager on Windows XP.The backups go through except for a couple of disks which give the below error and are not backed up.

From: BSM@sparta "OVMS DAILY INCR" Time: 7/17/2009 5:01:32 AM
Lost connection to VBDA named "/$1$DGA2000"
on host vmsclient
Ipc subsystem reports: "Bad message format."

I have installed all the patches for the Cell Manager but the issue is still unresolved.
The Data backup is very critical and any help will be appreciated.
