Dp 6 - Mount Request during Backip
I am running DP6.0 on a Win2003 server. When doing a full tape bakup of a specific server, it is waiting for a mount request. I expect that in a restore, but not in a backup. I am backing up this server alone, not in a group. Any ideas on why this is happening?

Re: Dp 6 - Mount Request during Backip
A mount request during a backup usually means that there are no available tapes in the media pool. If your backup specification options is set to "permanent" the system will not reuse the tape.
check the protection column in the media pool being used for the backup. If none are expired, you will have to recycle a tape to make it available.

Check:
1)Pool config:
Usage: Appendable
Allocation: Lose
2)There is free media in pool( Without protection)
3)Try to use free pool
