EML & e2400 NSR mapping
I have a EML Series
with 3 LTO
and we wanto to configure it in SAN... so:
we've created the ZONE on the FC-switch, and by serial-interface we're trying to configure the e2400 NS Router to present the host.
On "Fiber Channel Config". we change the default map value on FC Port0 anf FC Port1
we've tried to configure the map on Auto-Assigned and Index
and from the "Device Mapping" we tried to:
select map
edit the map (no for auto-assigned)
edit the host list for the map ( we have 4 host for the moment)
Activate and Saved the map.
we saved the configuration
abd then reboot.
but from my server, if I type ioscan -fn
I don't see any tape or Library
We're missing something???
do you have any suggestion?
thanks

Re: EML & e2400 NSR mapping
I've rebooted the EML and I found the map "Port 0 Device" and "Port 1 Device".
I configured 2 host and that maps. but I don't see the 3 LTO. with ioscan I receive no_HW
this morning we tried to configure it to the index map... but we saw 6 LTO!! (duplicate)

Re: EML & e2400 NSR mapping
Windows ├в Should be seen as the first device presented in the map.
HP-UX ├в Should be seen as the last device presented in the map.

Re: EML & e2400 NSR mapping
The library is a ETLA that's mean that there is an Interface manager that is working as a supervisor and managing the maps.
Now, what you want to do can be done from the CV-TL (Commmand View for Tape Library), once installed, you go under "Secure Manager" and here you can see all your hosts and set if they can see or not the library and drives (this is called presentation and mapping)
I read you want also to select wich port to use in the NSR for the specific device. In order to do that, you also need to by the license for Secure Manager. With the license, you can select drive by drive, the port you want to use, and if the drive shoud or not be presented to the single host.
