EML-E OCP slot numbering bug

customer has EML-E with this strange behaviour: when they insert tapes via mail slots and they want to move them from mailslot to slot there is no number displaying on the OCP. when they input number it just blinks for a fraction of second and disappears. however, if they just input everything and dont care about the blank spaces and execute move, it works fine and cartridge gets moved into right slot.

has anyone encountered behaviour like this?
