Encryption with MSL 4048 library w/LTO 4 1840 drives
We have an HP MSL 4048 library with 2 LTO 4 1840 drives and are looking to setup the encryption that is listed in the web management for our tape library. Based on some quick research, it looks like we need to purchse an additional "encryption kit", is this true ? Anyone who is using the integrated encryption can you comment on your experiences ?

That is right. The encryption kit is 2 server key tokens that are like USB thumbdrives connected on the USB port of the MSL.

Thanks for the clarification on the usb key's. So is this then completely independent of the backup software ?
