Erro 4027 - Device timeout
I'm running Data Protector Express Basic 5.0.00 with product number Q1581A s/n HU1139534N.
Job starts running, sees the HP DAT160 device but after a couple of minutes i've got message "Error 4027: Device timeout" (at formatting media). The job ejects the tape acrtridge.
Did a power off/on of the device, restart server but all to no use.
Entries on the internet indicate hardware error.
How should I proceed further wirh this? Device is under warranty.

Re: Erro 4027 - Device timeout
Open a support call. The tape drive is likely bad.
They will probably ask you to do an assessment test using LTT ( http://www.hp.com/support/tapetools )
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
