Error 1400 Wrong media
I am using a DAT 160 StorageWorks USB tape drive and Data Protector Express Software SSE V.3.50 SP2. when i try to run a backup it ejects the tape and gives me Error 1400 Wrong media. what can be done to fix this?

The short answer is that it is an error in the job definitions. Check your error log for details for info on exactly what tape it wanted. Put the tape in the drive and check the drive to see what the name of the tape is.
If you are trying to reuse a tape that Data Protector Express thinks it is supposed to save it will prevent you from overwriting it, even if you told it to overwrite the tape.

Thanks for the input i started fiddling with it more yesterday and came up with the same idea that the jobs hadent been givin a specific tape to use so i went through and recataloged the tapes and then assigned each job a specific tape to use. I think that will fix the problem after what you have told me. thanks again
