HP 1/8 G2 Autoloader 920 very slow backups using Backup Exec 12.5
Things I have tried:
1. Updating all drivers which include NIC, Tape Drive, Library and SCSI card.
2. Using Symantec driver to tape drive
3. rolling back each driver one by one and mixing and matching.
4. uninstalling all the drivers and re-installing them.
5. used Library and Tape Tools and still slow there which tells me nothing is wrong with the network connection since I tried it backing up locally...
Wondering what the "perfect" combination of drivers would be for everything...

Need to use Veritas Drivers
http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/199881.htm
Tape Drive will do 120MB/s only if the system sends that amount of data

Might also have TUR please attacth a support ticket

Re: HP 1/8 G2 Autoloader 920 very slow backups using Backup Exec 12.5
Adaptec 29320A..... It's still slow.
1. Updated HBA driver to latest from Adaptec site.
2. Updated Tape drivers with latest Symantec Driver - still slow
3. Used HP Tape driver - Still slow
4. Used symantec to backup to disk and it was operating at 2GB/Min.... this is more like it... Still wont backup over 100MB/min to tape though...
Anyone else have any suggestions?
