Re: HP AIT Tapes in Sony AIT drive?
-> Hi Wayne,
-> Once you go into the forum link I gave
-> you earlier, you email your enquiry to: info@aittape.com
OK, well I wasn't asking for another forum to go register to! I thought Bob said he knew of a compatability matrix for media on the sony website, but maybe I misunderstood.
> Good luck and please assign points
> accordingly if we've been of any help
To be honest, I ended up on a wild goose chase, so no points! And I am not the author of this posting anyway. If I could give points, they would go to David for telling me that the HP drives are made by Sony, and to Sacha for following up with Sony to find out what media is supported!
So far I've found AIT media available from HP, Sony, Imation, IBM, and Maxell. The Sony and HP media seem to be the most commonly available, so I think I'll be sticking with those.
Does anyone know how HP determines who gets the red star <> by their names?

Re: HP AIT Tapes in Sony AIT drive?
Hello to all!
I live In Ukraine and I own Sony AIT-2 Turbo IDE Drive for 3 years.
Iâ ve bought pack of TAIT2-80N and now all of them are full of information. Unfortunatelly now in Ukraine are not any TAIT tapes at all.
Could you tell about compatibility of Sony cartridges for this drive and any HP cartridges (for example Q1998A or Q1999A)?
Thanks in advance!
