I have to reboot the server and job get canclled. Sometimes it jumps slot 6 and 7 to look tape in slot 8 and. Is slot 6 faulty maybe? When diognising and counting cylces it comes whith an error that says: cycles rec.err. 1080 0: what is the problem.

Solution
I doubt that the slot itself is defective.
Some reasons why a particular tape or tapes can not be used:
- Tape has a label for tape generation not supported by the library (LTO-2 label used in a library with only LTO-1 drives)
- Tape is known to be full and protected by the backup application
- Tape is in the wrong media pool
- Tape is a cleaning tape
- Slot has been deleted from available slots in library configuration
- Tape is formatted by another backup program
- Tape has not been inventoried
