HP Data Protector Express 4.0 and Scheduled Tasks

I have HP Data Protector Express 4.0, single server version, installed on a server running Windows 2003. Ever since I install this program none of my sceduled tasks work and I've noticed that the service, Removable Storage, will not stay on. Is the Express program to blame and if so, is there a solution? Thank you.
