hp dlt tape 40/80 compatibility issue

Hi every,

Currently i am using HP StorageWorks DLT 40/80 GB Tape Drive (DLT 8000 External drive), and i am using HP DLT tape IV for backup purposes. Now i want to up grade to HP StorageWorks DLT VS160 tape drive (80/160 GB External). This will use the HP StorageWorks DLT VS160 tapes 160 GB.
Now my question is: Is my HP DLT tape IV written in old drive compatable with new drive? Will I be able to read data on these tapes?

I need the answer urgently please.

Answer is no:

even if the cartridge is the same, the format is not compatible. see link below
