HP L&TT Tools- No scanned Device
When I run L&TT scan I receive an error
'atapi IDE adapter' at ....
Not scanned for devices
I do not see the tape device, medium changer/1/8 G2 Autoloader in the Windows Hardware device list.
But the Robotic library shows up in the BE devices.
I have attached the ltt eventlog.
Thanks
I have not been able to take any backups using the device

Re: HP L&TT Tools- No scanned Device
Hi,
L&TT would not be able to detect any storage device if the host (Windows) does not see them.
It is programmed to skip scanning of IDE adapters hence the message 'not scanned for devices'.
Regards,
Satya

Re: HP L&TT Tools- No scanned Device
Hi Sathya,
Thanks for your reply.
Initially the window server detected the autoloader, tape drive but the backups were failing with a hardware error message.
I checked and found out that the SCSI terminator had not been installed. I installed it on the lower port and rebooted the server. I don't see the devices. When I do a Scan for hardware changes.
I also receive the error message ' The driver detected a controller error on \Device\RaidPort1.
Thanks,
Mala
