HP LTT firmware download corrupt

Hi

ive recently had an issue with downloading firmware from HP LTT.

"Application Exception 4081 (Application: Downloaded file appears to be corrupted)"

The tool up to version 4.22 is using hp.com as a source.

A new upcoming version 4.24 should correct this and use hpe.com as a source, the team told me.

Meanwhile you can download the firmwar from hpe.com/support

Hi there, 

I recently purchased a drive from Ebay, and I'm experiencing this same error message in the LTT application.

Unfortuantely, for me to download the firmware from the website, I would need to spend $541 (almost as much as I paid for the drive) to purchase a service contract. And, unfortunately, HP's LTFS software says I need a firmware upgrade in order for LTFS to work.

Is there any timetable you know of for the next LTT software update that would restore firmware downloading? 

Is there a place to download the firmware files outside of the HP site? I have spent about an hour on Google and found nothing.

AFAIK no contract is needed to download this file.

following the link it gives in the error, "ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/information_storage/software/ltt/" this folder is empty now

As said, they need to modify the application to use hpe.com as a source now. the old source hp.com is another company now.

I noticed the firmware files also need an entitlement now
