HP MSL6000 blinks orange

Hello,
we have new HP MSL6000, but it doesnt work. Front led is orange blinkig, touschscreen is black and RS232 doesnt responds.
We just recived it, and its without tape reader.

Does any body knows why it doesnt work ?

Hi Pavel,

If the library is a new one then before powering it on we will have to remove the shipping locks if you have not pulled out.

Then once you have powered it on for the first time, you will have to do certian basic settings in the OCP for it to understand the settings.

Yes, our library is new, but I din't find any shiping locks. Where exactly are ?

Touch screen is black and doesn't responds on touching, so I cannot do certian basic settings.

Hello Pavel,

I have the same problem, except we've had ours for about 5 years with no problems until about 6 months ago when it started with that blinking amber light and nothing on screen. Please post your fix if you find one.

Hello Custer,
I have no good news for you, we returned that trash to the reseler.
What we have discovered:
- Its just renamed Overland http://www.overlandstorage.com/US/products/archive.html , so you can use tham support, firmware and so on.
- Wa was able with some Windows SW from HP load (using serial line) in new firmware from Overland and than we was able to log in to http admin, but we wasnt able to do anythig there. Only view some logs.
