HP Openview 5.5 questions as a new user
I'm new to the environment and have the task of adding a new LTO3 drive to our StorageTek L80 system. I want to know ahead of time how this will impact The HP Openview Data Protector so I have few surprises. I'm removing an LTO1 drive and installing the LTO3. I see each drive has a license attached to it. Is there any concern there? I also notice the Windows Hardware has the LTO drives disabled so I'm assuming the new drive will have to be disabled also. Does the data Manager automatically see the new drive? Will I need to configure it in any way? Is there a licensing issue to be concerned about? Anything I may have overlooked or need to be prepared for? Sorry for all the questions but this is my first experience with Data Protector. Thanks for any help/ideas.
