HP StorageWorks 1/8 Tape Autoloader VS-80
I can find drivers for every other drive type of this autoloader- just not the ones for the VS-80. there is no "drivers" section in the support page, just diagnostic software, firmware, and test utilities.
How do I get drivers for this specific model?
Its a c9264CB-vs80.

Re: HP StorageWorks 1/8 Tape Autoloader VS-80
looking at the other thread you found on this it seems not to be in that l&tt bundle but worth a try. if not looks like you're gonna have to speak to HP ! Bit crazy really , it's the only link provided for firmware for that library - good luck.

Re: HP StorageWorks 1/8 Tape Autoloader VS-80
I found it !!!!!!
Its misfiled (sort of)
For both Win2k and WinXP use this link:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=330076&prodNameId=377726&swEnvOID=1005&swLang=13&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=MTX-UNITY-I18619
the trick: do a search for VS80 in the drivers section, select a Storageworks VS80 internal drive, then select Win2k. -- search for the drive, not the autoloader. This file (called sp24875.exe) comes with the autoloader driver as well as the tape driver)
as soon as I installed the file, the autoloader came alive and cataloged its tapes!
