HP TAPE TOOLS & COMPAQ AIT100
I tested 8 Customer provided COMPAQ AIT100 tape drives using LTT.EXE ver 4.5 and 4.6. All drives reported "incompatible cartridge". However I used the same cartridge on my known good AIT100 and it passed with no errors. AIT F/W is 7.0D on all drives including my known good. I performed 5 cleaning cycles on each failing drive with no success.
Any suggestion before I recommend customer replace these drives?
