HP Ultrium 920 Cleaning Tape C9778A ?

Newly installed drive using Backup Exec 11. Says to use the cartridge only when prompted by your tape drive or application software. Does BackupExec provide such a notice? Does the 920 Drive?

Hi,

I am not sure about the veritas backup Exec however The Drive cleaning Light will flash continously if the Drive Read/Write Head if dirty.

Please find the cleaning cycle matrix for the Ultrium Drive.
