Incremental bakcup on Data Protector
Hi all,
I have a files server HP Proliant DL380 G5, one Ultrium DLT 448 and Data protector Express ver4 sp1.
I planned weekly a incremental backup of some directories.
The problem is that the program backups more files then I modified from a job to the other.
For example, the files modified from monday may 3 to sunday may 9, are, according to windows explorer, about 2Gb, but the job backupped about 40 Gb.
Where's the problem?
I tried to recreate the job but the problem persists.
How can I trace a log of the operation of the job?
Thanks

Re: Incremental bakcup on Data Protector
Hi Stefanin,
You should use the same spec for Full AND Incr backups... create a backup spec and add two schedules to it (a full and a incremental). The first backup always is a full backup because omnib can not find any references to a full backup. After the first full the inc's should work..
