Installing surestore 1\9 autoloader drivers problem

I keep getting "error 39" when attetmpting to re-install the tape library in device manager. It is currently reading "windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupt or missing (error 39)"

The LT&T program has no problem seeing the library or tape drive, so it would appear to be a windows problem rathe than a deice problem.

The problem is that I dont know which files it's trying to install from, so I can't delete them and down load new ones!

Any advice appreciated.

Um, we don't either.

"Windows" is rather vague...

Exactly what system and which O/S are you using?

LTT doesn't need the driver. Most backup applications do not need the driver either.

Hope this helps!

Found it!

File called tpfilter.sys. Needed to be in the dvrs folder.

Backup Exec requires the library (changer) to be seen in device manager as "unknown medium changer" for it to be seen within the program.
