Re: LSI_SAS Event ID 11 with StorageWorks 1760 in 1U rackmount
Hello Henrich, I hope you're doing well.
Event ID 11 is very generic event that can be caused by many things like OS apps, HBA driver version, firmware in drive, etc. There is some steps you can try in order to have it resolved:
- Verify that Removable Storage service in Windows is disable, if not, start it, then stop and after disable it.
- Also HP Management Agent has some services that is recommend to have them disable in order to avoid pulling to your drive. In Windows services disable the following:
HP Insight Storage
HP Insight NIC
HP Insight Server
HP Insight Foundation
HP Insight Event Notifier
- Usually the Proliant Servers would have a Proliant Support Pack that comes with an aplication called HP Management Agents. If you have it in your Control Panel, then apply this advisory which is to "disable fiber agent tape":

- Confirm that your firmware in LTO 1760 SAS Int. to Rack is U52D, because I'm finding that latest firmware version is U29D. To update the firmware you will need to download HP Library & Tape Tools:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=3663390&taskId=135&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=3663381〈=en&cc=us&submit=Go%20à »
Try those fixes and test the unit to verify if issue reoccur.
