LTO DISK Write Protection issue
Hi HPE Community,
I have been an issue in my ULTRIUM 9-LTO or Tape. Basically it can load and read all the data But its unable to copy any data over to it and it pops up with a message "The Disk is WRITE PROTECTED", Although the switch of cartridge is set to unlock position. We format the LTO Cartridge with LTFS but still the same issue.

If you have tried diff media and still get the same error. Then the pin/sensor manages the WP State on the drive might be broken. Run a LTT Drive assessment test and check if you can write anything to the media. These tests will tell us whether its the drive or the tape which is at fault.
