LTO Ultrium 448, HP LTO2 and linux

Dear support team,

My firm bought a HP StorageWorks LTO Ultrium 448 Tape Drive with HP LTO2 tapes. I would use the device and the tape with our debian linux servers. It seems to me that the backup proceudre is to slow.
