Msl 2024 not openning

hello,

I've got a Hp MSl 2024 storever library with 2 HH LTO-5.

When i tried to open library, it says "Not Ready"and stuck like that. Tried to restore to defaults from Web api but i has no effect on machine.

This error happenned when i pull out brain board of tape library's (dunno what they call it).

Do someone know how to fix it.

Hello there, Can you help me understand what you were trying to do when you encountered this issue/error? Firstly, how does this so called "brain board" look like? Secondly, where did you see the error "Not Ready"? On the Library OCP or the Remote Management Interface (RMI) ?

Well, just trying to start library firstly and and on the OCP panel it says " Not ready" but i also see the ready green light is active on OCP.

For the "brain baord" thingy its at the back side of library, right side of LTO drives.(I dont know the name of it thats why im calling it brain board).Lto drives socketed into it. I removed it for once and tried to open library, issue started from that moment.

So you pulled out the library controller board while the box was up and running?

Did you power cycled the box since you have done this?

When i unplugged card, library was closed and doesnt had electricity than i used that card at different hp library. Than plugged back to the original state. Power up and that error happened. Also i upraged the firmware of library itself.

I re-started many times but nothing happened.

Usually the card is not a replacement part for this library model and should not be used in a different box. There is firmware on this card and also "some bits" on the robot itself. This must match.

Did the library ask about what to do with the different serial number?

You could try to factory reset the box again, check and upgrade the firmware to 6.20 and emergency open the magazines to check if nothing is stuck between.

You will find a little hole at the drive back cover (bottom corners). Insert a paper clip and push slightly, another person can then pull the magazines out while you hold the clip pressed.

Can you hear the robot moving after power on? Does it say "Inventory"?

The paper clip will release the magazine so you can just pull it.
