We recently had a power fluction problem a week before. After that 3 days the backup failed in tape library. I did a barcode scan. Now its happening partially.
Partially means, We are taking backup of a cluster package and its application. Only these 3 packages are not happening.
I am receiving a notification as follows,
11/07/08 3:30:9: Major: P1 or S1 not active check armdsp output for more information NOC Warning HP 9000 PA-RISC
I am very new to this. Need a good solution for this.
Thanks
Gee

Solution
Hi,
I'm a bit confused - you talk about problems with your tape library, but the warning message talks about "armdsp" - this is the command to check the VA7xx0 virtual disk arrays.
Do you have a VA7xx0 in use?
Are you able to access all the virtual disks (LUNs)? Any errors or warnings in "armdsp -a" output?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
