MSL 6030 erasing tapes
I have a MSL 6030, Firmware v5.2, two LTO-3 Ultirum 960 drives. Is there a way to erase tapes just using the MSL 6030 GUI interface or do I have to have a third party software like Symantec to do this function?

Re: MSL 6030 erasing tapes
Erasing tapes requires a host application. None of the tape libraries provide a built in 'erase' function. HP's L&TT tool does provide an erase utility:

The user guide is available at:

Look for the 'Tape Erase Utility'
I work for HPE
