MSL2024 Can't use both drives at same time

Hi there,

Configuration:
MSL2024 G3 Series
2 x HP Ultrium 4-SCSI tape drives
Interface Type - SAS.

2 x SAS HBA cards installed in one Backup Server. Both drives are connected using individual SAS cables.

HP Tape Tools R/W test results
- Ran on individual drive - PASS
- Ran on both at same time - FAIL


We updated Library and Drive Firmware last night, hoping this was the problem.
Library Firmware from 4.5/2.70e updated to 4.6/2.70e.
Drive Firmware Revision from U28W updated to U51W.

HP L&TT R/W test results AFTER Firmware Upgrade.
- Ran on individual drive - PASS
- Ran on both at same time - FAIL

Please advise.

You should pull a support ticket with HP LTT now.
