MSL2024 Incompatable Magazine

I have a MSL2024 that is giving a message of Incompatable Magazine. I have used this Magazine in another MSL2024 and it is just fine. I have tried to reset the Tape Library back to factory defaults, however the message remains the same when I power up the unit.

Now I did find that the lever on the inside of the library was stuck in the open position, so when the magazine was inserted, it would not catch. thinking this was the problem, I have since fixed that issue, but I'm still getting a message on the OPC stating Incompatable Magazine.

Any suggestion on possible causes? The error message is not listed the the User Guide.

Hi Louann, I hope you're doing well.

There is somethings you can try in order to erase his message:

- Enable and disable Mailslot under "Configuration" / "Status" tab

- Reflash the firmware version, or update to latest version 4.70:

- Double check the inside of the library, because of the lever, there might be a HW problem

I will try what you suggested. I did find the level on the inside had gotten stuck. It is now functioning as if should.
